Penn State Nittany Lions vs Minnesota Golden Gophers - October 1, 2005 (35 images) My third trip to State College, PA, in three years, was mainly because I wanted to see the Minnesota Golden Gophers for the first time. I acquired a ticket in the south endzone, where I had never sat before in Beaver Stadium. (Now I have sat in all four sides of the venue.) PSU was a surprising 4-0 going into this game. Minnesota was 4-0 also and expected to win. In the end, Joe Paterno claimed his 348th career victory and PSU improved to 5-0 on their way to an 11-1 2005 season!
